Madehurst Friday Night is Music Night - 2021
Big Band Swing with The Tom Fitzpatrick Band
FRIDAY NIGHT is MUSIC NIGHT 2021
***CANCELLED***
(see below statement)

Dear All,

As a result of the Government’s decision on Monday to delay by 4 weeks the final stage of removing all restrictions we have been seeking advice from our local authorities Safety Advisory Group (SAG) on any impact this may have on this years event.
Under Government legislation all local authorities have been given the power to make decisions on a case by case basis about whether large organised events/gatherings in their area can proceed.

We have provided them with all the necessary documentation and risk assessments including our Covid protocols to help make the event as safe as possible. Although any decision would ultimately be made by the local authority, SAG have advised us that Big Night Out would not be granted permission to proceed on the grounds of “Public Health” due to rising infection rates and that we should postpone or consider cancelling the event.

Over the past 24 hours we have explored all avenues regarding an alternative date but unfortunately this is just not possible to achieve and so, on the advice of the Local Authority, we have no option but cancel Big Night Out & our Friday Night is Music Night events for 2021.

Needless to say, as the organisers, we are bitterly disappointed to have been forced to make this decision for a second year but feel especially bad for the bands, our stage, sound and lighting team, the concessions and everyone connected to the event who have suffered so much over the pandemic. And finally to all of you, who make Big Night Out such a special experience for all of us.

Please may I ask you to not to contact us immediately regarding your refund, this will automatically happen, including any booking fee, by TicketSource over the coming days. Payment will made back onto the card used at the point of purchase.

This is obviously not the news we wanted to bring you but rest assured, we will be back, bigger and better for 2022 with the date of Saturday 2nd July!

All the best,

Gary, Andy and the whole BNO Team.

Friday 2nd July 2021 - Event Cancelled

Following the success of our first Friday Night event two years ago we are back for 2021. Taking advantage of the Big Night Out stage, lighting and sound system it enables us to put on another night of great entertainment.

The format for Fridays' is a little
different, we have been given special permission to drive vehicles onto the outfield (weather permitting) lining up in a semicircle to form a more intimate venue. Bring your own tables, candelabra's food & drink and "Picnic" out of the back of your car! Although not compulsory most dress up in formal attire and enjoy a more relaxed evening of live music. As a result numbers are strictly limited. The club bar will also be open if you run out!

This year we have two acts:

The Tom Fitzpatrick Band have created one of the most versatile and engaging acts to hit the music scene. The band consists of some of the most sought after professional musicians in the UK with guest singer our very own Nigel Smith!
Their collective credits include working with artists such as the legendary Shirley Bassey, Jack Jones, Dave Stewart, Gwen Stefani, Pixie Lott, The Proclaimers, Buddy Greco and The Drifters to name but a few. Some members have toured with renowned artists Bruce Forsyth, Joan Rivers and Jools Holland - involving considerable TV work such as Britain’s Got Talent, Strictly Come Dancing and the National Television Awards.
Alongside the fresh, young, charismatic vocal talents of Tom Fitzpatrick, this line-up is a force to be reckoned with.
For the past few years The Tom Fitzpatrick Band have been selling out theatre shows nationwide, and have wowed audiences across the UK and Europe. Their extensive repertoire of legendary swing tunes interspersed with unique versions of modern classics gives the band their distinctive sound, also their young & hip style of Jazz, Swing and Big Band tunes has them in constant high demand with both public and private clients.
